Classique blog tells The ReStore story

This past year, The ReStore raised enough funds to build 14 Habitat homes. But, we couldn’t do it without you: the donors, the shoppers, the volunteers and the new homeowners. We’re a community built on hope – hope for a better future. We do it one house at a time, one furniture donation at a time, one deconstructed kitchen at a time, one person at a time. Judith Huck of Classique Floors is one of the people on that team. As a former board president of the Mount Hood Habitat for Humanity, Judith helped developed The ReStore multi-store model. She’s a ReStore donor and she also donates her time on Habitat build sites like Helensiew.  In a recent blog post, Judith tells the story of The ReStore in a conversation with Joe Connell, vice president of retail operations for HFH Portland Metro East.

“There are 862 ReStores across the country and the Portland/Vancouver ReStores are in the top 6 delivering results to the community,” Joe said in the Classique Floors blog. “What’s harder to measure are the lives that have been changed; that’s where stories come in.”
