The Portland area Habitat for Humanity ReStores accept quality new, reclaimed and previously owned building materials, furniture and appliances. All donations are subject to staff approval and space availability.

Items we accept

Appliances

Kitchen and laundry appliances that are 10 years old or newer in perfect working order

Cabinets

Quality cabinets with solid wood or plywood fronts, doors and drawers; clean and complete, with doors and drawers attached. We do not accept doors and drawers without cabinets

Doors

Doors in good, clean resalable condition without alterations or damage, hollow core doors with frame

Fasteners and hardware

All varieties of metal fasteners and hardware, door knobs, hinges
Cabinet pulls and knobs

Flooring

New, never installed solid wood, carpet and linoleum 10’ x 10’ or greater in size
Complete unopened boxes of prefinished wood and laminate flooring
Previously installed de-nailed wood flooring
Clean, unstained area rugs

Furniture

Quality upholstered furniture without stains, odors, pet hair or scratches, excessive fading, sagging, rips or tears
Solid wood furniture, no melamine or pressboard
We do not accept mattresses or box springs

HVAC

Ducting, flashing, insulation and vents, fireplace inserts, furnaces and wood stoves
We do not accept items containing asbestos or other toxins

Lawn and garden

Bricks and pavers, fencing- chain link and de-nailed good condition wood, undamaged hoses and sprinklers, lawn mowers in good working order

Lighting and electrical

Indoor and outdoor light fixtures, new florescent fixtures, electrical supplies

Lumber

Quality lumber and siding in 5 foot lengths or better
Sheet goods ½ sheet or better

Paint

Liquid latex paint (no dry or solid paint) in original container with original label attached

Plumbing

Steel, porcelain or cast iron sinks, no composite sinks
Tubs in perfect working order (space permitting)
Complete, clean and undamaged low flow toilets
Bathroom hardware

Roofing

Roofing, shingles and tar paper

Tile

New, never installed tile minimum of 10 matching square feet, new tile trim

Tools and equipment

Hand and power tools with all parts in good working order

Windows

Quality, good condition vinyl or wood windows, seals and flanges intact
Shutters in good condition
Blinds: new and in unopened boxes only
We do not accept unframed glass or metal windows
